Football Birthday Party

I just realized I never got to share the pictures from Dylan's 10th birthday party. The fall was a bit crazy for us, so the party was planned pretty quickly.  I purchased a piece of AstroTurf from my local hardware store. Using white electric table, stencils, & white spray paint I made the tablecloth look like a football field. It was super easy and added a great touch to the party.  I also made a goal post using PVC piping. I spray painted it yellow and added mini banner.

The boys got to take home footballs and football trading cards.

I purchased a bunch of footballs from oriental trading which the boys used inside and outside. I had a few tossing games inside for them to play with the mini balls.

I had a extra football cups, so I used them to hold a couple centerpieces. I stuffed them with brown crinkle paper and stuck my signs right in.

I had popcorn boxes as one of their treats. I also on the table were mini football pops, brownies, root beer, football rice crispy treats, cupcakes, and more!

I used Dylan's football helmet to add to the table. It matched the colors and really added the "football" touch.

What's a football party without a football field?? Call me crazy, but I spray painted a football field in our backyard. The look on all the boys face was priceless. They LOVED it. It was so easy. I purchased the field paint at my local hardware store and off I went. I planned it out in my head and I think it came out pretty good! Definitely my favorite part of the party. The boys were out there the entire time!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! Sorry they are so late!!

Engagement Party {Jenna & Jared}

A couple of months ago one of my best friends got engaged! {Yippee!!} We hosted an engagement party at her house which she recently purchased. Lots of her family hadn't seen her new home yet, so the party was engagement/house warming.  With the planning of her sister, and future mother in law, the party was perfect! I was in charge of creating some printables and the decorations.  I apologize for the poor pictures. I forgot my camera and had to use my iphone.

When you walk into the house, they have a large foyer room. The ceilings are high and there are these beautiful wooden beams. I hung a "Jenna & Jared" banner along the beam and some black paper tissue balls.
In my opinion personalized water bottles are an inexpensive, yet eye catching touch to a party. Using waterproof labels, I jazzed up your average bottle bottle.
I love favors at a party. It's a nice thing for guests to receive as they leave. I have a large wooden cupcake tower which I used for the favors. I placed a mini sign and extra large engagement ring on top,  then wrapped around all the mini boxes which were filled with personalized Hershey kisses.

I LOVED the Hershey kisses. I purchased the .75 circle sticker labels from online, and using the matching template were able to match them up. You could also punch them out with a mini circle punch, but I think this is a more efficient way.
I wrapped all the wine bottles with a picture of the newly engaged couple.  It's also a great wedding favor for guests to remember your special day.
For all the wine glasses, I made cutouts with expressions like "Jenna & Jared," "Eat, Drink, Celebrate," & "She said Yes!" I punched them out using my 2inch scallop punch and punched a hole at the top to be able to tie around the glass. I also added a engagement ring embellishment to each of the glasses.

Lola's Spa Party!

I recently hosted a spa party for my daughter's 8th birthday.  I kept it pretty simple as we had hosted a very big first communion party the weekend before. I didn't use any outside vendors, I did everything myself.

When they girls came over, they were greeted by the spa check in counted. There they chose a nail polish color & flip flops and then took their seat around the table. At each place setting was a manicure set, a mirror, a water bottle that said Hydrate, a plate for their snacks and their name tag.  Up first was nails. Using the nail polish the girls each picked out, we went around painted their nails and adding flower stickers on top. The girls sat and chatted as their nails were drying.

I created a large beauty bar filled with goodies for the girls. I used lots of dollar store items and used my own labels to replace the old ones. The beauty bar consisted of cotton balls, cottons rounds, face mask wedges, foot pumices, hand soap, loofahs, bath fizzes,  and bath salts. The girls used their favor box and took one of each items from the beauty bar. We used their foot pumices to scrub their little feet after they soaked in pink dollar store bins. The girls felt so pampered! As some of the girl were  patiently awaiting their foot soak & scrub, they were able to relax in the "rest and relaxation area" which was a few of Ikea's mesh curtains place around a hula hoop. I place a down comforter and some pillows on the around and formed the curtains around it.  It also served another purpose as all the girls sat in there to watch Lola open her gifts.

After they had their feet done, it was on to the face mask! This was all the girls favorite part. I used a strawberry souffle face mask and using the mask wedges, I applied the mask to the girls faces. They were then given cucumber slices to place over their eyes. They all sat back and relaxed for a few minutes. I went around with their face towels and using the face misters took their masks off. Once their faces were nice and clean, they each got another fresh mist of water to hydrate their faces.

To finish up the spa day, it was on to snack and cupcakes.  The girls had a great time sitting around the table eating and gabbing about their nails and facials.

The girls had such a fun time!

The entire spa collection is available in my shop here.
